PDRI held its Annual Meeting on Feburary 13th, 2008 at Kaber’s Restaurant. There were 70 people in attendance and the evening had a fun construction theme in preparation for the upcoming Streetscape project. Kathleen Hein, Tom Farrell and Michael Douglass were all slated for re-election and were unanimously elected. A presentation regarding the Streetscape project was facilitated by Kathleen Hein, Design Committee Chair.

Volunteer recognition and annual awards were presented with Tom Farrell receiving the Leadership Award; Kathleen Hein receiving the Board Member of the Year Award and The Dan & Shodi Moris Family receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award. Michael Douglass, 2007 Board President, presented the organization’s Annual Report and delivered the President’s Vision for the future. Each year PDRI recognizes a long time downtown business, this year, Becky Hackett presented Don Ritchie, owner of Ritchie’s Jewelry Store with a plaque in recognition of 57 years in business in Downtown Prairie du Chien.
